Éamonn’s icons are created using traditional Byzantine techniques, carefully crafted on gesso boards with egg tempera, natural earth pigments, and gold leaf. Each piece is “written” in the time-honoured manner of iconography, honouring both the spiritual and artistic heritage of the practice.

Original icons are typically created on a commission basis and are available by enquiry only.

Due to the meticulous and layered nature of the process, commissions can take up to 18 months to complete.
